Acceptable use policy - AUP

what an AUP is- A set of rules you abide once you sign a formal document. such as not using the internet for certain things or not texting at work

How is an AUP used at Glenvar? Give 5 rules and why they would be important.
An AUP is used at glenvar every year for every student, it takes the weight off the school if something were to happen and there were to be legal issues.
1-no texting in school bacuse it distracts from learning
2-staying off game sites on the schools laptops because they eat up bandwidth
3-limited PDA in the hallways because teachers dont like it
4-not putting music on the schools computers because there isnt enough room
5-not taking drinks in the library due to the carpet

How could an AUP policy be put in place at a job?
Blocking Websites that arent appropriate for the workplace
Why are AUP's necessary?
so you can set limitations on what he/she can do.
what rules and regulations would you have?
no instant messaging, playing games and no blogging!!!
